My trip to Richmond, British Columbia

For Legends of Equestria, Justin and I traveled over the Washington border to the wonderfully weird country called Canada to present the game at a panel and let people play in their games room at BronyCAN. We were also with head of Public Relations for Legends of Equestria, Blue Ink. The nicest, calmest person ever.

Our hotel room was like… crazy huge. It was a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with a little entrance room. Like woah. With a full kitchen - stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, and all! It came with silverware, pots, a toaster, and a tea kettle! Whaaaat?! Amazing.

So, after settling in the apartment on Friday and making sure everything was in order, we went to Target to get some food because so hungry.

When we were going to check out, what did I happen to find?

NONE OTHER.

THAN.

KINDER SURPRISE EGGS!

MY CHILDHOOD.

I had to get one (and later on got another one for my little sister). So I got one.

Alright so that was pretty much the high point of the trip - Kinder Surprise eggs. No, just kidding. The real one was watching children and pony fans color the free coloring pages I set out next to our game table.

What a cutie.

Oh, we also met the fabulous HORSE GAME team and let them stay at our swanky apartment hotel room for Saturday night. We stayed up and played Twilight Sparkle’s Secret Shipfic Folder. I mean… talked about game development.

One of the Horse Game guys gave me a Canadian quarter with the Queen’s face and a moose! We hooked her up with our gentleman George Washington quarter.

True love.

Oh! I almost forgot! I met Nicole Gauss at the Vendor Hall, an amazing artist who worked on season one of MLP:FiM! I got her business card and found out that she now has a tumblr, which I am totally following. Her original concepts for MLP:FiM are the inspiration behind my Penny the Pony Dress-Up Game. :)

Well. That was my trip to Richmond, BC for BronyCAN! It was great fun.
